my files are corrupt?

I have a bunch of videos from my camcorder saved on an SD card. Previously, playing these videos worked just fine on Windows Media Player. Now there is either an error message saying that the files are ‘corrupt’ or that it doesn’t recognize the file tipe (mpeg).

I’m using a SanDisk thing to connect my SD card to the computer.
The cards are Lexar Micro SD and PNY SD. Both are 2GB.
It’s a Windows XP Dell.
I may have a virus… but then again I always do… would this really affect it though?
The videos play fine on my video camera.

IT’S SO FRUSTRATING!!

Did you try doing a virus check? If not, you should do that. That’s probably the cause of the corruptions of the files.
